Environmental Chemistry at CSU Chico
Welcome to the Environmental Chemistry Lab at Chico State!
Dr. Sandrine Matiasek advises undergraduate and graduate (MSc) student researchers in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences of the College of Natural Sciences at California State University, Chico. The research team studies how land use impacts the chemical composition of terrestrial waters, with particular focus on urban storm runoff.
Research interests include urban stormwater biofiltration, water quality impacts of burning at the wildland urban interface, and dissolved organic matter cycling in surface waters.
Dr. Matiasek teaches environmental science and aqueous geochemistry courses at Chico State.
